Littlerが投げる直前、Humphriesは81のフィニッシュを狙いました。1投目が狙いどおりT19に入りあとはD12を決めればこのLegはHumphriesの勝利だったのですが、結果はS12→アウトボードと上がり切ることが出来ず。
続けて170を残しているLittlerのターン。めったなことが起こらない限りここでLittlerが上がってHumphriesの負け、、、とはならないのですが、さすがLittler、T20→T20→Bullseyeとハイアウトを決め恒例の魚を釣るポーズのパフォーマンス。あれは大きな獲物を釣り上げたという意味なんでしょうか、私にはいまいちよくわかりませんが、窮地からの大逆転に気持ちが高ぶったことでしょう。HumphriesもグータッチでLittlerを迎えていたのは、おそらく「オイオイそりゃないぜ」という心境だったからでしょうか。
なお優勝賞金は27万5000ポンド（約5300万円）ということで、うらやましいですねぇ。
【English】The 2025 BetMGM Premier League in Glasgow was won by Luke Littler!!
The highlight I personally picked was Littler’s 170 checkout.
Just before Littler threw, Humphries was aiming for an 81 finish. His first dart landed perfectly in T19, and all he needed was D12 to win the leg. However, he ended up hitting S12 → out of the board, failing to check out.
Then came Littler’s turn with 170 remaining. In most cases, it wouldn’t mean an immediate loss for Humphries, as a 170 checkout is quite rare. But Littler, as expected, pulled off a T20 → T20 → Bullseye high checkout, followed by his signature fishing pose performance. I’m not entirely sure if that’s meant to symbolize catching a big fish, but it must have been an incredible emotional rush after such a dramatic comeback.
Even Humphries fist-bumped Littler, perhaps thinking, “Come on, seriously?”
By the way, the prize money for the winner was £275,000 (approximately 53 million yen)—how enviable!
