2025 BetMGM Premier League in Berlinの動画がアップされていました。今回ピックアップしたのはStephen Bunting vs Luke HumphriesのSemi Finalにおけるワンシーンです。
QFのシーンも同じ動画の冒頭にありますが、私の聞き間違えでなければ、Stephenがプレミアリーグで勝ったのは10年ぶりと実況は言っていましたでしょうか。QFを勝ち上がってのSFで、相手は世界ランク一位のHumphriesですから、彼は相当気合が入っていたでしょう。
First to 6のフォーマットで行われている試合で獲得Leg数は2-2のイーブン、132を残している状況から動画はスタートします。相手のHumphriesは223ですので少し余裕のある場面でしょうか（あくまでも見ている人目線です）。132はT20から狙うのだと思い込んでいましたが、彼はBullseyeから狙っていきます。なるほどアウターブルに外れても107残りなのでT19→Bullseyeの上がり目がありますからね。
しかしStephenはインナー2本を連続で決めるエキサイティングな展開を演出し、ラスト一投決めれば一気に流れが来そうな展開まで来ましたが3投目はD16のわずか内側に着地しました。おしい！しかしその後2投目でD8を決めてこのLegを取りました。お見事！！試合はこのLegの勢いそのままに6-2でStephenが勝利しました！！
さらに決勝ではIcemanを破って優勝しました！！会場もみんなStephenを応援しているのが、いかにみんなに愛されているかの証ですね。
【English】A new video from the 2025 BetMGM Premier League in Berlin has been uploaded! This time, I’m picking a moment from the Semi Final between Stephen Bunting and Luke Humphries.
The Quarter Final scene is also included at the beginning of the same video, and unless I misheard, the commentator mentioned that this was Stephen’s first win in the Premier League in 10 years—did I hear that right?
Having advanced from the QF to the SF to face world No.1 Humphries, Stephen must have been highly motivated.
In this First to 6 format match, the score was tied 2-2, and the video picks up with Stephen on 132, while Humphries was sitting on 223—so a bit of breathing room from a viewer’s perspective.
I always thought 132 was approached starting from T20, but Stephen began with the bullseye. Makes sense—even if it lands in the outer bull, he’d be left with 107, allowing a finish via T19 → Bullseye.
But then Stephen created a truly thrilling moment by landing two Inner Bulls in a row, and with one dart left, he had a golden chance to steal the momentum. Unfortunately, the third dart landed just inside of D16—so close!
Still, he composed himself and later took the leg with a clean D8 on his second dart. Well done!
Fueled by the momentum from this leg, Stephen went on to win the match 6-2—an impressive victory!
