2025 BetMGM Premier League (Nottingham)の動画がいくつか上がっていました。今回ピックアップしたのはStephen Bunting vs Gerwyn PriceのQuarter Finalでのワンシーンです。
Gerwynの5-3リードで迎えたこの場面でStephenは170フィニッシュに挑戦します。Gerwynは244を残している状態なのでここで上がれなくてもまだこのレグを拾える可能性は高いところですが、First to 6のフォーマットでGerwynにリーチがかかっている状態なので、もう1レグも落とせないという差し迫った状態ではありました。
T20を決めるごとに歓声が大きくなっていき最後にインナーブルを仕留めたときは会場は大盛り上がり！！なんとなく会場はStephenを応援する声が大きかった気がするのは僕だけでしょうか。Stephenはとてもチャーミングな見た目をしていますし、ファンが多いのでしょう。
ところでこの日は随分ブルフィニッシュが出ていましたね。それだけハイアウトが多かったということでしょうか。スティールのインブルフィニッシュは本当に見ていてエキサイティングなので、このような傾向はウェルカムです。

At this point, Gerwyn was leading 5-3, and Stephen went for a 170 finish. Gerwyn still had 244 left, so even if Stephen failed to check out, he still had a good chance of winning the leg. Was it just me, or did it feel like the crowd was particularly backing Stephen? He has such a charismatic presence, and it’s no surprise that he has so many fans.
By the way, there seemed to be a lot of bullseye finishes that day. I wonder if that was simply because there were so many high checkouts. Watching Inner Bull finishes in steel-tip darts is always thrilling, so this is definitely a welcome trend!
