2025 European Darts Trophyの動画が上がっていました。今回ピックアップしたのはDamon Hetaが180を達成したシーン。
スティールダーツ特有のシステムであるコーラーですが、最も有名なのはRuss Brayでしょうか。Dartslive3だとコーラーを数人から選べて私もRussを選択しています。普段は何気なくPDCの動画を見ていますが、この動画のコーラーを私は初めて見た気がします。とってもいい声であるし何より歌っているような感じで点数を読み上げており、コーラーというよりはシンガーだなと思っていました。
Damonも同じことを思ったみたいで、この動画のシーンではダーツを抜きに行くときに指揮者のようなジェスチャーをしています。さすがダーツの本場ヨーロッパですね、才能あふれるプレイヤーが多いのは当然としてコーラーも層が厚いです。

One unique feature of steel-tip darts is the presence of the caller, and perhaps the most iconic of them all is Russ Bray. On Dartslive3, you can even choose from a few caller voices, and I’ve selected Russ myself.
I usually watch PDC videos without thinking much about it, but in this video, I felt like I heard a caller I hadn’t heard before. He had a great voice, but more than that, the way he called out scores felt like he was singing—honestly, it felt more like a singer than a caller!
Apparently, Damon Heta felt the same way, because in this scene, as he walks up to retrieve his darts, he makes a little conducting gesture, like an orchestra conductor.
It just goes to show—Europe truly is the home of darts. Not only are there so many talented players, but even the callers have incredible depth and personality.
